Replaced timing chains but still wont crank

You could contact Cloyes directly--they might send you one. Their youtube video on doing this job has a tech support phone line. They recommend on that video just pulling the rod out, inspecting the hole with a long, skinny screwdriver for debris, wiping rod off, and re-installing it.

Ok so new problem guys . I finally got it running perfectly for about two days then all the sudden while driving it started stalling out then died. Making all kinds of noise. It will start just runs extremely rough for a min then stalls out. I ran codes only one showed p03040. So then I replaced the cam position sensor as well as crank position sensor and checked the wiring then drained the capacitors from pcm to reset using a jumper from positive battery to unhooked negative for like 10 min. Well none of this worked it still throws that code and still won't run correctly. When I turn the key on and start the rpm go up to about 1400 then drops to 5 to 7 before stalling out. I suspect pcm so i removed it and opened it up to see if anything was obvious , no bad smell and there are a few spots on the board that are suspect but I can't be certain. Here are my photos.

Sounds like timing jumped unfortunately. Before running the vehicle any more and risking damage I suggest pulling the valve covers and setting the crank to tdc to check timing.

Boominxplorer- how could it though, having a hard time wrapping my head around it. I did replace the pcm with brand new one as well as the other sensors - crank and cam. I don't doubt you just trying to figure out how and why.

Still throwing p03040 code even after all that

Replacing pcm and sensors has nothing to do with fixing timing that's off (mechanical issue). Have you verified timing mechanically with valve cover off, as Boomin recommended?

Did you find a lot of junk in the oil?

I haven't verified timing yet no will be doing so soon
