Replacement conical filter for KKM

Does anyone know if the conical filters at the local auto parts stores fit the body adapter where the KKM filter mounts. Are the filters measured like exhaust tips - width of opening and all one needs to do is measure and buy?

they are emasured like that.... width of opening...... you just need to find one the right size.....

A good source of filter dimensions and info is at the K&N filter website. If you go to the site you will find they list all their filters by sizes.
Length, width, opening size, diameter, end size...etc. The filter table/sizes is real helpful in picking filters to match your setup.
