replacement dash bulbs?

ok so there are 2 bulbs in my dash all the way to the left side 94 xlt now i know how to do the work and that i should replace all the bulbs while im at it now my question is , is there any bulbs that can make it brighter then before or a diff color? in my bros vw i know there is color plastic that the light goes into that brings the color to the lights (green) so if i put in a diff color bulb think it would work? and do they have maybe led's? for this? thanks for any help

Other vehicles have bulb "condoms" that slip over the globe of the bulb (get the picture description?) and change the light color. You might look into this.

Rheostat usually compensates quite well. Also, your local Radio Shack should have replacement bulbs. I suppose you could try for the same physical size bulb with a greater light output, but you risk increased heat and increased voltage requirement problems.

With due respect, this sounds more like a Ricer issue.

There are two different types of bulbs in the dash (guages)??
I know one type is 194s. How many 194s are in there and does anyone know which type lights up the gas gauge?

lol no disrespect its not that i want it to look like a ricer in fact i cant stand ricers i just want to be able to read my guages lol like my yukon dash lights up where u can see it outside the truck

how do I get to dash lights

In your first post youy say you know how to access dash lights. How do you do it on a 99 EB? I got burned out bulbs
