I've searched, but not found the exact answers I'm looking for.
In my '96 (no sub woofer) there is an amp in the back passenger side. I would assume that even though there are no rca plugs, that the input to this amp is line level (from the head unit). Is there a harness that would allow me to just replace the amp? It would have to have 4 inputs f/r and l/r, and 4 outs to drive my stock speakers (don't worrry, I'd replace those) and also a line out for a seperate sub (to be added later), or a 5th speaker out to drive a sub itself.
I know that the stock head unit isn't the best, it may have a bit more noise than an after market one, but it looks good and does what I need it to. I just need a bit more volume for the highway. It seems that this is a relatively simple thing to do as opposed to a new head, with an amp bypass. Thanx for any info you can provide!
