My 2002 XLT was used vey little over the years, only has 22K on it. I still have the original Michelins it came with, they have plenty of tread left but each one is developing a small crack around the perimeter, right where the sidewall meets the wheel rim, so I'm told it's time for new rubber.
I use the truck for general driving and also for hunting but here in NY a hunting trip means 120 miles on pavement and then 1/4 mile on a dirt road or through a corn field. I may also do some light trailer towing, less than 1000 lbs. small boats and stuff.
Any recommendations for a tire that would suit my needs. I'd like one to be relatively quiet and smooth on a highway but just aggressive enough for the dirt and fields.
thanks, Rob
