2002 XLT
My 2002 XLT was used vey little over the years, only has 22K on it. I still have the original Michelins it came with, they have plenty of tread left but each one is developing a small crack around the perimeter, right where the sidewall meets the wheel rim, so I'm told it's time for new rubber.

I use the truck for general driving and also for hunting but here in NY a hunting trip means 120 miles on pavement and then 1/4 mile on a dirt road or through a corn field. I may also do some light trailer towing, less than 1000 lbs. small boats and stuff.

Any recommendations for a tire that would suit my needs. I'd like one to be relatively quiet and smooth on a highway but just aggressive enough for the dirt and fields.

thanks, Rob

I went with the Bridgestone AT Revo's great tires, but a little pricey. They also have the standard AT's which are less expensive but also very good with nice aggresive treads while being quiet. Got them from Firestone...

Happy with general grabber hts

. I would recommend the above mentioned. They're VERY good on snow. Rated #1 by the leading consumer rating mag. I got a good price from Discount Tire.

Michelin the Cross Terrain or LTX M/S2.
