Replacing altanator on a 93 explorer.

How to replace altanator on my 93 explorer. How do you take the belt off the altanator to switch out for a new one. The new one is the same as stock not a higher current one or annything. How do you tighten the belt back up too? Is there a way to see if it is too tight? I don't know if 4 wheel drive makes any difference.

put a 3/8 drive ratched in the tensioner and take the belt off and do the same to put it back on. the tensioner will automaticlt tighten the belt to the proper tension

The tentoner is to the right of the alt right? So the 3 bolts take off the alt? WHat about that plate that is on the left side of the alt?
