Replacing Auto Mirror

Hey guys, the switch went bad for my auto headlamps on my rearview mirror. I have a brand new mirror but have no clue how to get the old one off/new one on. If anyone has a step by step walkthrough it would be greatly appreciated.

lightly tap it upwards from the bottom of the mount and it should pop off with no problems. if you have a rubber mallet that would be best.
