Replacing Clutch Line

I can't seem to see a Good way to remove the Split/Roll Pin
I can hardly get one hand in near it,
and ideas ????

Disconnect the hydraulic line at the transmission, remove the master cylinder from the firewall, then you can drill or remove the pin.

it's a lot easier to just replace the whole thing rather than getting the master cyl's that are just the plastic part and trying to get them to seal onto the old hydraulic line. The stock clutch hydraulics have enough issues as it is.
 






Now How To Bleed

I got the line and master assembly out and the line replaced on the bench,
the roll pin pressed out easily, as I knew it would
(I was just hoping to not have to remove everything)
and it is now back in the truck.

I have started to bleed the line,
and have run about a pint of Dot 3 through it.

There are lots of air coming still.

I am using a vacuum hand pump system (Mityvac) to draw the fluid.

Any thoughts or special tips.
 












No I didn't. I struggled with it for a couple of days,
and a neighbour even brought over a bleed kit.
Still no go.

So I took it to a shop,
Long story aside,
They bleed it, and it felt OK.
next morning no pressure.

I ended up having a new slave, clutch, and new master installed.
They even felt the flywheel needed turning.

$1500 later :mad:, it works just fine.

Although I may . . . get this typed before they cut my power off,
the clutch works just fine. :D
 






I was able to get the Mityvac vacuum pump to bleed a fair amount of air out after replacing the master, but it's just not the same as doing it the tried-and-true way of having someone else push the pedal while you hold open the bleeder screw and keep refilling the reservoir. It can be fustrating when there's no pedal pressure for awhile, but so far, I've found it just takes patience, a lot of brake fluid, and a few minutes of bleeding to get the pressure back, then bleed until you don't have any air bubbles and you're good.

$1500, yikes.
 






I have a 1994/95 explorer 2wd 4.0L engine and I cant figure out how to remove the hydraulic line from the clutch assembly Ready to pull trani except this line holding me up Thanks
