replacing dash switch bulbs (4x4, rear defrost, rear wiper)

i have 3 bulbs that are burnt out on the dash and was wondering what size bulbs they are, does anybody know?

Hey, I think it's the same as the light on the headlight switch. 7219 Micro lamp from Radio Shack. Pkg of 2 $1.19.

No, they are different than the headlight switch. They are different lengths...

I haven't bought replacements, as I just pull them from the junkyard, but that will show you the different bulbs.

they are pretty much tiny bulbs with external leads, kinda like LED's i took a picture of the bulbs outside the bases, dim trying to find someplace to get these bulbs (from left to right: rear wiper, 4x4, rear defrost)

Im trying to do the same thing right now, I went to the dealer and they told me I had to buy the switch so I am going to try to put in leds in place of them

I would recommend just going to a wrecker, I managed to find the bezel with the complete switch assembalies for like $10. I think the 4x4 & rear wipers are bulbs, haven'tt taken the switch apart for foglamps and R.defrost yet, but they don't look like they were bulbs.

The Small bulbs that you needed for the cruise control lights cost like $6 each already.

Every time I go to the junkyard, I pop the switches and pull the bulbs- I've got a ziploc bag of them now. If I don't grab them, people rip the bezels out to get to stuff behind it, because of course, nobody can remove 2 screws, they just destroy the bezel... and toss everything on the ground.

hey joe, any chance you have a couple extra of those bulbs, ill pay if you want... I wouldnt mind doing the led's but if i do that then im gunna want to put in blue ones, then im gunna need to switch out every bulb to blue leds so everything is the same color.
