In my explorer the seats will not adjust anymore and I'm not smling about that, and I found areas in the brackets busted up and broken. So I bought that $160 set of bucket seats from 4wheelparts to replace em. . When I got them the clerk told me that they were designed for jeeps but with an adaptor I can put it in the EX. And now with the questions..........it there an adaptor out there? Have anybody done this before?(and if so how was it?) are new brackets expensive??????

i think you wouldve been better at a junk yard or on e-bay. jeep seats are usuallylower than ex seats, i believe so even if you can get n adapter (which i doubt) it might still not "seat" right.

I have often thought of getting the jeep seats myself, but the adapter problem was something I could never solve. I would see if you could just strip the tracks off your EX seats and maybe just fab up something and sink it on with self tapping screws. I am deffinately interested in how your project goes, but i think you are in fairly undiscovered territory. I wish you luck.
