i need to replace the master cylinder in my wifes 99 explorer. the replacement is the easy part, just bleeding the brakes is my problem.
i dont have a way to cycle the abs motor is there a way too?
if i close off the rubber lines while changing the master ,will that make a difference?
how about a reverse fill.so id put fluid in at the caliper to the master?
im sure some 1 knows of a better way to do this job.

make sure that you FULLY bleed your master cylinder (on the bench) before you install it. IIRC on my past "efforts", then you will quite likely not to have to do much else thereafter other than top up and / or complete with some "flush" of fluid thru the system... just ensure that your resevoir doesn't get empty during the "flush".
