RESET ZONE on message center

While playing with the message center TEST diagnostic you can do by pressing SETUP and RESET buttons simultaneously BEFORE turning the ignition key I thought I'd try something else. If you push and hold the SETUP and RESET buttons AFTER you turn on the ignition the message center will ask RESET ZONE. Press RESET to reset or INFO to cancel.

Does anyone know what it means to RESET ZONE?

Check your manual for the compass setup.
I think it has to do with that.

To adjust geographic and magnetic north, I think. Take a look at the picture.
