Resetting the Computer

Under "Explorer Tips" I read that there is a way to reset your onboard computer. Is this risky and what precautions do I need to take besides disconnecting the battery. Also, if i have not performed any modifications, is this "computer resetting" benificial in any other way (for example: restoring gas milage to the best of its ability, rough idling)? Your comments are greatly appreciated.

I'd like to start of by welcoming you to the site. You'll find anything and everything all right here.

To your question.....nope......that's all there is to it. Pull the power from the battery for about 10 minutes. When you rehook everything up your computer will "relearn" your truck. It may or may not help inprove different items, but it can't hurt.
