I think one person might have gotten it on video. Basically what he did was climb out of the river in what Id say was the hardest part. He had to climb out of some really steep ruts and it took him a couple of tries. He did a nice job of tearing up his tires :)

Is he locked front and rear?

JF and company were great people. We enjoyed having them along. What he didn't write is that they never did make it up the MiniRubicon where ALL those "big Fords" went up. He also didn't mention that he didn't do the creek crossing that 3 of us in the Explorers did, and I doubt that he could have. His Wrangler was on road radials and had almost no axle articulation. The place he went through that one truck got stuck was a gooey rocky mess that Parli22 had some problems with. (stock radials didn't cut it, and the extra weight of the sheep made him drag the rocks) The rest of us sailed through fine.

Leave it to a jeeper to lie and loose the respect of everybody on this board. John and I were right behind them and they had trouble on EVERY trail. If I saw him again I'd tell him to run with someone esle.

They run 35's and 39's soon 44's (But he's a real sick Jeeper, runs with the BIGDOG's)

Oh, I just found another conclusion to add today----using your fingers to write things like "pavement Princess" and "I love tuna" on a black explorer's dirty fender will leave the words PERMANENTLY in the clearcoat!!!!!! Thanks a lot, guys.......:fire: Sorry I wrote on your Explorer, Matt-If I'd have known what it would do, I wouldn't have done it.....

But hey-if that's the only 'trail damage' I picked up, I can live with it....It's not like I blew my alternator or anything :D

BTW-If it comes down to Chris VS. Chris again, I'm gonna have to bet on Parli22-I'm pretty sure that chasing sheep builds muscles :p

Will I ever get to live this down
NO I doubt it
So IN the first truck we have SWINE and TUNA
next follow closely the old guy jeff draper
who names is so unoriginal just as old as he is.

There was no SHEEP up at the top and I have it out for everyone now on. J/K

I tried to warn you about writing things in dirt on paint. Dirt IS an abrasive, you see what it did to your paint, now I strongly suggest cleaning all ball joints, universals, tie rod ends, and any other moving parts under your trucks, and greasing the **** out of everything.
SPAS, you may want to give a LITTLE, POLISHING, not rubbing compound a try, but first try in an inconspicuos area first, or just keep waxing with a good paste wax, like turtle wax. Be CAREFUL if you try the Polishing compound, less is better.

willi, i am the white truck, the one with the real tires and the conferr roof rack.

matt, since ihad you behind me to tell me what the hell kept making that god awful nosie on the rocks, i looked into the shock mount guards today...sold.

the jeep did ok, but it did have a hell of a time. after that guy thought he was gonna get the wife out of the rocks, i think he toasted 3/4 of the clutch. the smell was horrendous.

jeff, i was consider that last river crossing you did until you bent the quarter panel and your brushguard made a horrendous sound coming out the other sde, after that, i was not going there man.

that 25 HP from the GT emblem is really helpin out here!:p

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to break out the turtle wax, Ibiz, and the liquid glass this weekend.....sigh. :( My hood is even worse because (like a dummy) I tried to scuff out what Lizard wrote on it....

Lots of polishing to get it up to spec for the Carlisle show.....anybody going to that? Willie? Gonna enter that Mustang of yours? Bring the X too! Jeff? How about your Mustangs?

Oh, and: OINK OINK, BAAA BAAA!!

(nyah nyah, tuna don't make any noise!)

Tarheel: My Explorer is part truck and part powerboat ;)

I was sitting there wondering what the heck that "blub blub blub" noise was

Oh yeah! I just remembered the other funny part of our trip trough spare tire crossing on our way to meet up with you guys who backtracked! Jeff was in the lead, then Matt, then Lizard, and all were HAULING IT HARD over the rocks (maybe 20mph?), when Jeff came damnably close to runing over an ATV that just popped out of the bushes on the side of the path....I seriously think the dude lost his lunch when he looked up and realized that there was not one, but THREE Explorers about to make him into a speedbump! THAT was priceless!
