reverse light switch

The reverse lights on a friends 93 Explorer (5 spd) are not working. Checked fuse, bulbs, etc., figure it must be the switch, but I couldn't find it. Where is it located at...or any other ideas.

Since I have not seen a reply to this I will try, I believe the reverse lamps are powered through the switch mounted on the transmission. Should be on the drivers side of the trans. not difficult to replace. Also contains the neutral safety switch.
