Ok, so I've noticed a few dragging starts lately like the parking brake is on when it's not.

I jacked up driver side rear, put in neutral (wheels chocked of course) and I can spin driver side rear (albeit not as easy as I thought it should but it spins).

Jack up the passenger side rear - it is not budging forward so this side is my culprit (interestingly enough, I can move it backwards but definitely not forward).

Here are pics of the brakes - since I took the drum off I can spin the rear end on the passenger side so I'm HOPING AND PRAYING it's just gonna need me to re-place a part or two (thinking the cylinder is leaking - hard to see but in the pics there is a little fluid - NOT MUCH AT ALL - not like when my Bronco II poured fluid out on the ground and let me know it was leaking).

What do y'all experts think/know - just replace wheel cylinder, clean it all up, bleed the brakes and go at it again or do I have a rear end/axle and or bearing problem?

It looks like the wheel cylinder to me. They are very cheap, and easy to replace. Worst case scenario, you break off the brake line fitting, and have to make a new one.

Just bought two - gonna give it a try, clean it all up and hope for the best!

The self adjuster seems to work properly (spins easily when I pull the lever off the star wheel)...

Figured I might as well do both...thank goodness, it's only 900 degrees in the South today!

I forgot how much I HATE and I mean HATE those darn adjusters and trying to get that parking brake cable onto the stud before the springs...I have taken each spring off and put back on 500 times so far...I so want to punch that pos...

Be sure to clean everything thoroughly and put some caliper grease on the adjuster (smear it on the threads, thick, wipe off excess) and where the pads ride against the backplate.

Might not hurt to throw on a new spring kit. Your pads look fine, I wouldn't bother with them.

Got it all back together...went ahead and bled front brakes too...brakes work...still feel like they're not where they're supposed to be (backed up so the adjusters could work themselves out like they're supposed to).

it stops and in a straight line...after it cools off, I may take that passenger side back off and look at the adjuster and make sure it's doing it's job.

Good news, no more "stuck" and it rolls freely so bad wheel cylinder ($12 per side), cleaned with brake cleaner and should be good to go.

The automatic adjusters don't always work like they should, especially with years of crud & corrosion on the threads, that's why I recommended some caliper grease on that. It won't get hot and run like anti-seize might.

That's what I did....pulled them out and cleaned them and greased them as well...
