I have a 2001 explorer sport. A few weeks ago my right brake light and turn signal went out. All the bulbs and fuses are fine. The hazards only work on the left side. The right running light works, but that is it. Any thoughts on what might cause this?

check for short at trailer wiring connector. Multifunction switch-check for connector partially pulled from switch or bad switch.

i had the same problem, searched for it. found out when you lean the steering wheel column down towards the floor, it puts stress on the wire, sometimes disconnects it or just makes it stop working at the time. luckily, all i had to do was lean the steering wheel back higher and fixed it with no problem.

Changing the steering column height (although sort of annoying) worked like a charm. Thanks Pab007.
