Hi everyone. When i bought my truck a year ago the dealership replaced the rotors, the work order just said replaced rotors. Dont know if they did all 4 or just the fronts. well anyways, for the last month or so whenever i brake from a high speed my wheel shakes like crazy and when i brake at a slow speed such as in a drive way i hear a slight noise that sort of sounds like when you step in something sticky on the floor then lift your foot up and it makes that sound. lol. thats the only way i can explain it. the noise comes in about 1/2 second intervals while breaking. Im pretty sure its my rotors...I just had a bad rear wheel bearing so im assuming the heat from that may have warped the rotor..is there a trick to tell if a a certain rotor is warped? I only want to change the rotor that is warped as i have no money. I want to also do it myself. How hard of a job is it for someone with not much mechanical skill? Can anyone give me a quick step by step for the rear rotors? and what would the consequences be driving on a warped rotor besides being annoyed when breaking? thanks everyone!
