This is the second Ex that I have owned, and the fourth that I have driven, and all of them have the same rough feel to them under moderate accelleration.

All trucks were 95 and newer and all had/have the 4.0L OHV motor.

They idle fine, and feel great at speed, but are rough during moderate accelleration when coming off of a stop light; enough to make the rear view mirror vibrate and you can feel a slight vibration through the truck.

My present ride (98) has new plugs, wiring, fuel filter, and I have checked the universals.

Has anybody else experienced this? Is it a possible problem with the vibration damper on the T-case, harmonic balancer issue?????

Not exactly a serious problem, but it would be nice some day to know why these motors feel so coarse during moderate accelleration.

Have you tried a (full) tranny fluid change? If so, did you/they add shudder guard? I have no idea what it is, but when they added it after a fluid change, things got better.

I have a '97 V6 OHV that just started doing the same thing a week ago. I've been trying to figure out what it is and can't find anything. I even changed the IAC and PCV and nothing happened. Hope someone can help.

I just had the fluid/filter changed in the tranny, t-case and both differentials. All good grade synthetics.
