I should have told you...you had the right instincts originally, questioning the o-ring theory.
This morning I listened more attentively. The initial startup was fine...went right to 1500 rpm, then after a few seconds the computer decided to bring it on down.....thats where it came down too low.
I should have a shop scan it. Can they tell me the readings, even though there's no CEL? None of the sensors have ever been replaced....after 210,000 miles. I bet a few are getting marginal.
