Hey guys - simple question for you - every now and again, if my truck has sat for a day or two without being started (or sometimes randomly) when i start the truck it will idle down/idle rough for a second until it seems to get more fuel. is this related to needing a new fuel filter? runs fine otherwise. truck is an 05 v6 with about 60k on it.

thanks

How's the fuel sytem?

Hey Texas, I hear there's snow around your area too, no?

How's the fuel system? Everything up to date as far as the fuel and air filters?

Using Chevron? :D

Have you scanned for codes ... just because the SES doesn't light up ... doesn't mean there isn't a code stored in there. Mine did the same thing and I scanned it just for SNG's and found a MAF code .... cleaned the MAF and problem went away.

Idle air control valve

I had rough idle problems about a year ago. with help from this forum it was determined that it was the idle air control valve. a new one costs about 60 bucks, but i just took mine of and sprayed it out with a whole can of carb cleaner. not sure if this is a recommeded approach but i let it dry out for a day put it back on and haven't had a problem since.

Are there any write-ups with pictures on how to clean the MAF sensor, IAC valve, and dirty throttle body?
