Thought I'd toss this out. The first week I owned the X no problems but recently it is sometimes difficult to start in 1st gear from a stop. Wants to buck and hesitate. Doesn't always happen. Did not happen the first week I owned it. Have 3.73 gears, manual tranny, and 31's for tires.

i would say plug wires, sounds like we have alot of the same problems, mine has been doing this on and of for the last week.i went out at night and sprayed my wires with water and a spray bottle and started it and blue lighting bolt would arc every now and then of the first wire.if not that maybe a fuel filter or dirty maf

Here's my theory.. The shocks are shot.. I think that when I got it it hadn't been driven much and everything had stiffened up. Now that I'm rodding it around town everything is loosening up. I think the engine it torquing the body and maybe the motor mounts and tranny mount then they are recoiling back on the engine. I also think that I probably have winter gas in it and maybe it needs plugs, air filter, plug wires? That's my theory..

Sounds like it might need a tuneup.

Plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter etc.

And the problems was.................... Shocks! Just put my $18 junk yard score(shocks) on and the problem seems gone. Fresh gas doesn't seem to have hurt either. I found some aftermarket shocks on a X. Nothing special not OEM. Can't beat the price!
