So I have a sound that seems like the races in the Bering are dry on the spindle. I took apart the passenger side cotter pin and checked the bearings were all good. It was slightly loose and tightened it up. Thought I had solved the problem. No. It makes this noise all the time unless I'm making a left turn then it goes away. The noise went away for about 20 miles or
So then reappeared. I just bought the car from a neighbor and it has been sitting for about 7-8 months.

Could the slide pin be stuck and cause this? Could it be brake related or could it have to do with the bearings?!

By the way it's a 98 sport 2wd, stock.

Slide pins could be stuck, causing a brake pad to stay in contact with a rotor.

So I went out and played in the San a little bit today with her and found out thelimited slip on a 4.11 works great in sand. The noise went away a little then reappeared later. It getting netter, just needed to be driven o think to loosen things up
