I have a 94 Ltd. with 151,000 miles. The cooling sytem is still orignal. This explorer always ran cool on the temp gauge the needle was on N now its on L. Any ideas maybe a bad thermostat. I tried to replace the T-stat but the top left bolt is just to hard and tips.

at some point the t-stat is going to need replaced. Some now sounds like a good time. Is the truck boiling over. the gauge is going past half way?

I've heard you have to pull the belt tensioner, and belt.
