running no overload springs??

is it safe to run on overload springs? whats the up sides??? whats the down sides? should it be done? i cant find any answers by searching this site. any help would be great be fore i take them out of my truck......

Safe to do, not safe to drive.

Upside? Uh...less weight.

Downside? Broken leaf springs, cost of replacement, fixing any damage.

Should it be done? If you're so bored you want to do it, then spend the time and money repairing it, maybe. But probably not.
