Well found the problem! The dumb*ss at the shop put the pump in turned 180*. The pin didnt line up w/ the sock. The sock just floated around the inlet on the pump and was getting under the sending unit arm. It was holding it up when it was empty. Guess I should have thanked those guys for loosening the bolts as I made them give me my $ back for labor and the sending unit! WHo says it doesnt pay to be stupid!
