What could be the possible reasons why my V6 sohc motor is running rich? I have replaced all of the ignition components and the fuel system has had a thorough cleaning with sea foam. No check engine light is on but at solid half throttle or better you can feel the engine bog around 3000-4000rpm as it struggles to burn the extra fuel. After about a two to three second hesitation the rpm's rise and acceleration continues.

I am thinking maybe it is the oxygen sensors, not sure how many I have- I think 4 and I do have 135k on my odometer.

Anyone who has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

First off, why do you think it running rich?

Hook up an OBD II scanner and check the function of the O2 sensors.

Good luck .........

Because it is bogging under acceleration. I will do the obd scanner on it. Thansk Al
