ok guys, hers a good one for diagnosis....today when i started my truck it started right up like normal. when i got to an intersection and stopped it was runing a little rough, when i gave it gas as if to go it sorta sputtered and then went as normal, everytime i stopped it did the same thing, after that i parked it and then later i went for a drive. it drove like hell, no power really and went i stopped you could actually feel it shutter, not that bad though like it was on 5 cylinders but noticable, still did the same hesitation thing too when starting out. if anybody has any ideas they would be welcomed. no check engine light so far either so there is nothing for me to scan with my scanner

Try checking your vacuum lines/caps. One may have cracked/popped off. If all are good, then try cleaning MAS and IAC.

What's the condition of your spark plugs/wires. It seems to me I remember something like this happening on a car when one of the spark plugs developed a "spark leak".

well, i pulled the maf and IAC out tonight and cleaned them in my apt. i'll put them back in tomorrow and see what happens. after that i'll start pulling plugs and wires. when i did the engine this summer i didnt replace plugs and wires, just used my old ones.

vacuum lines and such seem ok, no audible difference.

Duh! exactly where does one look to find the vacuum lines?

Bigcheck, how is she running now?

yeah, it runs fine, turns out that my engine ground strap was broken and as soon as i put a new one on, it ran just fine. i did plugs and wires too while i was in there.

There is an "octopuss" looking thing in the rear of the engine bay that the lines all come too.
