For a project at work, we need to put a navigation system in a 2000 or 2001 S-10 Blazer. We need to tap into the odometer drive. Did Blazers of this vintage have a mechanical or electrical output from the speedo gear? Or both?
(We have a Ford van and found that the speedo drive gear has both electrical and mechnaical outputs, with the mechanical output hidden under a plastic plug. Maybe Chevy did the same.)
