Would it be safe to run 2 to 3 inch wheels spacers on stock wheels and tires? I'm planning a 2 inch lift, and I'd like some extra width on my wheels to go with it.

My 93 explorer won't be seeing some serious trail...and I'm planning some minor mods just to give it some extra off road capacity.

No unless you like replacing wheel bearings very often.. Just run the tires on stock rims with no spacers or get rims with less backspacing.

never heard of 2-3 inch spacers, one inch will be ok but like said, get ready to replace wheel bearing often. i would also get a wider rim or one with less backspacing. i seen an S-10 in town that had stock wheels/tires and just added spacers, looked gay if u ask me, dinky little tires sticking way out, go with a bigger, wide meaty tire should look pretty good.

15x10 rims......414$ out the door tires mounted and balanced
