I have searched but have not found everything im looking for.

I have seen you can get wheel spacers for about $35 a pair. what will installing these effect? what will wear quicker?... Are they safe? I have heard they are unsafe.

I have almost completed my list of mods i would like to do. Does anyone want to donate about $2000

The main thing I've read about them is that they can lead to premature wearing out of wheel bearings.

Of course I think it depends on how big of a spacer you decide to go with.

Why do you want to get wheel spacers? Also if you go with a big spacer then it will wear the wheel bearings out faster just like a wider wheel will.

i dont like how my tires look really inside the body. i think it looks funny

What I've Come to Understand About Spacers:
If you install spacers, you run the risk of weakening your whole wheel/bearing/pin system. In other words, if your pushing your tires out considerably more than their stock position, everything down there starts to strain!
Also, large spacers cause you to end up having to repace the pins, lugs, etc. This is due to the fact that there will be less pin for the rims to sit on, as you need at least 5-6 full turns of a lug nut to have a rim safely attached.

However, if your not going big, it doesn't make a huge difference. I have 5/16 spacers on my mounty (which isn't much) just to give my 275 tires more space so I don't rub when turning. I didn't have to change anything else, and spent $60 for all 4. I understand what you mean with the visual stance of you truck and I too like a lil' bit of wheel sticking out. Just depends on how much your going - too much space can cost you much more $$ than you wished to spend.....

GOOD LUCK!

i have been running wheel spacers from a jeep cherokee on my 96 for a bout four months now and no problems...yet

What the heck is hub centric anyway?
