1994 ford ranger
Hey guys, wanted to check in, was reccomended here from a member of another forum and i have been looking at several tech threads. The amount of information here
Is staggering. I just bought a 1994 ranger splash 4x4, its got a few issues but nothing some time and a few beers won't fix after I get home from my year deployment. I bought the truck to turn it into a do it all rig but mainly exploration and weekend camping/over landing off road type stuff for when I separate and start college. Hopefully I can find someone local to me when I get home that can assist me in doing a solid axle swap! Other then that the only thing it needs is for me to figure out the odd shaking and ringing letting the clutch out and its random dying. Other then that I'm 110% glad I went with a ranger and not a taco or a Heep.
Looking forward to being a part of the forum,
Tyler

I sent you here :D and welcome!

Kevin would be your man (Diff Whack Daddy) and any special fabrication stuff that Kevin can't do, you can get Josh S (Josh S) to do over in Seabeck (roll cages, fancy stuff with dimple dyes)

There are quite a few of us in the NW and someone is usually going somewhere virtually every weekend.

Speaking of weekends, NW Overland is having a Rally in Plain WA (North of Leavenworth this weekend (starting tomorrow) ;http://northwestoverland.com/Forum/tabid/166/aft/70529/Default.aspx
If you have time, there could be lots of great info there.

Man i wish i could go, stuck in san diego, fly to japan tomorrow till july 17th then hopefully between then and the end of september i can get time to drive my ranger to my parents house before i fly to bahrain for the last ride. I tried to join nw overland but i think the confirmation email got lost and I can't find a way to get a new one sent.

I'm glad to hear people are actively going places often because i really could use the RnR haha. I'll be shooting a pm to kevin to talk to him about the solid axle stuff. I'd really like to try to do as much as i can myself, but I do know my limits, so if willing I'd like to talk to him about maybe helping me through it, paid of course!

Welcome to the site.
