FYI - I was just checking Saleen's site and they've lowered their clearance prices even further!! Sway bars are now $34 for the front and $25 for the rear! I was going to go to the junkyard for a '98 or later front but now I'm going to get a Saleen one instead.

Are you sure those are the saleen ones and not factory, b/c I saw something on thier site about factory takeoff stuff for sale. If not, that is an awesome deal.

Don't think so.

They are the same part numbers as the ones that normally cost $$$$$ in the catalog so I believe they're the Saleen parts and not factory takeoff!

WOW
Will they fit 2 and 4 drs?

website?

what is the website anyway?

www.saleen.com i still have yet to order mine - been back at school for almost a month now - broke :)

Shocks From Saleen

Also note that they are selling Explorer shocks for 25 dollars each ... a steal! The guy I spoke to said they were originally manufactured by Bilstein. Note that they are for an Explorer lowered by 1.5".

The sway bars are not the OEM take offs, but the true Saleen units. I had ordered (and received) a set just a week ago. Of course I paid double what their price is now ... I feel cheated ... but hey, even 120 bucks is much cheaper than other sources.

Yeah I saw those too. I just bought and installed Monroe Reflexes last weekend though. They also have all of the body parts, including the composite hood, for waaayyy cheap. I guess they're clearing out for the new Explorers?!?!

tbomb - don't you already have EE swaybars on your X?

Oh yeah, YamahaRick, is the front Saleen sway bar powder coated red like it shows in the pictures?

I ordered both front and rear sway bars. And yes, they are both red in color.

If you buy Saleen sway bars, AND own a 1996 Explorer, make note that the bushings you need to order are the OEM spec. You will then need to have the rear bushings bored out to match the new bar diameter of the Saleen unit. I had ordered the "universal" bushing as mentioned in another thread, but that only works on 98-00 Explorers, not my 96.

how do you know the shocks are for lowered explorers?

I asked the guy when I placed the order. Since I had planned to lower my Ex 1.5", this was very important to me.

do they have both styles, or do they just offer it for lowered...?

They have an 800 number ... why don't you call and ask them yourself? I'm not sure.

Oh i have the number, i am just wondering because I ordered them already. The guy didn't mention anything about that.

hey guys, i called the 1-800 # today and the sales guys said that they didnt have ANYTHING left for explorers... i asked about a few different things and he was like "we have NOTHING"...
