I still have the same codes being thrown. It is pissing me off and i was looking at some of the posts on here about it and not many people have found the fix it sounds like. Has anyone really found a fix to this ****ty code.

SOHC or OHV motor? If its the SOHC motor, then probably its the intake manifold gaskets ie 00m12 service

2001 ford explore sport 2wd 4.0L i think that is the ohv not sure thought.

Umm on the engine there should be a cover that says SOHC if its the sohc motor.. Don't think the OHV was available in 01..

Blee is correct; only engine available with 01 Sport was the SOHC.

I'd check the intake air tube for cracks, also the PCV hose, and
check the clamps for tightness. If all looks good, then suspect
the upper intake gaskets as Blee said......
