Were 171 and 174 the ONLY codes you had?

truck showed codes P0171 , system too lean , P0174 , system too lean. bank 1 and 2..... does anyone know what this means or have had the same issue? guy told me it was the oxygen sensors. thank you for your time.

I had a problem on my '05 Explorere XLT reading similar codes saying too lean, and oxygen sensors, even though they had been replaced, and were brand new. A very astute mechanic checked the wiring to the sensors, and found a bug fried to one of them. He cleaned the bug off, and the problem was solved!! Hope this helps!! Happy trails.
