What exactly is bumpsteer?

Why haven't you gotten shocks yet?

its when the suspension itself turns the wheels, not you. thats why you need a steering stabilizer (or 2) to soak up some of the bumpsteer, its the same thing as a shock on you steering.

Yeah i knew what steering stabilizers are, just was unclear on the bump steer. Thanks Curtis.

Hey muskrat, did you ever get that truck finished? What axle did you use in the front, year and from what? I was also wandering about the RA brackets, did you get those worked out? You said that you put 6" skyjacker leaves in the rear, is it level with the front? Sorry for the battery of questions but I'm just curious.

BTW: Do you have the 4.0 V6 in that truck.

Thanks for the info,

Clint

I gave up, truck is going back to ttb, will eventually get 4" skyjacker. I think I'm going to find a cheap Bronco II, and build the **** out of it. Would make a beter trail truck than an ex. cab ranger.

The axle is a 76 Bronco D44, with 78 outers with disc brakes. Wild Horses 5" lift springs produced about 8" of lift, and the skyjacker leaves with my factory lift blocks leveled the truck out

Damn, sorry to hear after all that work you have to go back. Good luck on your next project though. The BII is a great idea and should be easier to swap an axle into since it has been done many times before.

Here's a little inspiration for you. I'd like to do a full write up of this bronco with my Father-In-Laws permission (it's his).

'84 Bronco II EB
'86 Mustang GT 5.0L, Holley Fuel Injection, L&L headers, high performance everything, punching out 400 horse.
C4 trans HD, with shift kit
Dana 20 transfercase
Currie HD Ford 9" rear with 4.56:1, Detroit, 325 spline axles, disc brakes
'77 Ford Bronco Dana 44 with Warn axles, Ox Trax locker, Ox Trax U-Joints, Warn Hubs,
38.5x14.50-15 Super Swamper TSL/SX on 15X10 Prime wheels, all '76 bronco suspension

I'll write up much more later, just don't want to take away from Muskrat's thread.

hey, hi jack it all you want:D, this thread is worthless anyway, no finished project

Nice BII I used to have one too, not quite as pimp as that one though.

I miss my B2, that thing would have made a good project
