OK so I'm getting everything ready on my 4th of Jul shutdown for a sas. My observation is almost everyone with leafs puts the shackles and hangers on the outside of the frame. Is it possible to keep the springs parallel with the frame like the rear.does it depend on the axle? I've got a d44 but I am working on a deal with the Guy but might also use a d30 temporary til I find a waggy44. I know I should use a 44 but noone wants to just sell the front around here. Any help is good help. Also the springs will be 2 inch lift front a waggy.

The frame on an explorer is not straight up front that is the reason they stick out the side of the frame. The is straight then it turns in. You can see my SAS registry to see how I did my leafs.

You'll have to move them out just a little. I used a D30 out of a Cherokee on mine and I put the rear shackles through the frame using 1 1/4 DOM for the upper mount. Then I used an offset shackle that I made.
