Saw this while I had my wheel of, what is it?

...I know his description is very hard to read or make much sense of and the pic looks solid...I am hoping someone who is interested will contact him and find out if it is indeed a shock...

...If it is, it's worth $50...If it's not a shocK..:thumbdwn:..I believe he is a member on RPS...

It is definitely a small shock. If I remember right, they were only installed on the manuals to help control engine vibrations being felt through the cab.

I may have mine sitting in the garage still, but I think it made it into the trash.

My 94 Ranger has the shock on it and it is an A4LD. If you can't find a shock I can get you one at the wrecking yard. Our vehicals here don't rust so one from the wrecking yard would be still with black paint and look good. I would guess the cost to be approximately $10 to $15 shipped. Let me know if you want one and I can ship by Monday.

Finally got around to getting my rusted, broken one off today. Snapped the upper portion's bolt right off, and ground the lower bolt down enough to get the lower portion off. Now I have to try and grind down the lower bolt into enough of a "bolt head" shape to try and get a socket on there and hopefully I can get it out like that - that sucker is rusted in there! I'm going to take professor2 up on his offer - $50 is way to much for a little do-hikey like that, whether it moves or not.

Called a Ford dealer: $173 ??!?!?!!??

He even said it all serious-like, as though it were perfectly reasonable, and that I might actually pay that price, for what is, basically, a $20 shock. I mean, really, how do they even have the nerve to quote somebody a price that stupid?

...Did you get a part number from him???...

...It may be useful for reference...

Got a new one for mine in the mail for $12 shipped from a member of explorerforum.
