When i start my X in the morning i can drive for 100 feet then i hear a loud screaming sound come from the engine compartment. It sounds like a rabbit getting killed. Or roughly 1000 babies going through a wood chiper. It last for 2 seconds then stops. Happens when it sits over night or after really hard braking, like trying to avoid hitting someones a dog hard braking or while braking going down step hills. Does not happen when it sits out all day.

i was thinking it could be the brake booster.

anyone have any ideas

You sure its the brake booster, using a screwdriver place it on the booster and start the truck.. If you can heart the noise thru the screwdriver then its it.. I suspect it may be something else like the IAC, intake, etc..

i dont think it is the IAC it is a really loud noise. Tt doesn't seem like the ICA is capable of making this noise either

unplug the brake booster vacuum hose, plug the hose and see if it still screams.
