Anyone have screens in their headrests? Anyone install their own?? Just wondering how hard it would be to install a screen in each headrest.

I have screens in my headrests. They are Audiovox. Yea I know Audiovox. But they were very highly rated and had the best picture out of all the other ones I looked at. And for the headunit it is a Kenwood KVT-910 Touchscreen indash DVD

The install was very simple and easy. Just takes a little cahonie's.

So how are all the wires run?? Is it just a cut in the headrest and then pulling out of foam, then bolting the housing to the metal and then putting the screen in the housing? How did you run your wires?? I dont have the little movable headrest, my whole seat is one peice.. Would it be any different? Where to get those audiovoxs? I have a kvt-911dvd i'm getting ready to install so I should be good to go if I can get the headrest screens installed...

one-pieces (like mine...the sport buckets i think) should be easier if you can get the upholstery off. You'll need to anyways to run wires. But with these seats, it's simple: you just need to run wires up into the seat from anywhere. Once you know where your cut out will be, cut an "X" connecting the opposite corners. then pull the wires thru the opening. I've never done one before, but saw a complete write up out of a "Truckin" mag I picked up last summer. I believe they had photos and write ups from at least 2 or 3 headrest installs. But unlike with BlackMagic's 2-piece seatbacks, you don't have to worry about tracing wires down the puny little uprights.
