Ok, so the front brakes were making metal on metal noise after a trip. Then as I drove the front end made a metal on metal noise without the brakes being depresed. Well I brought it into the shop (local Turkish Ford dealer) and they said the pads were new (I've only hadthe truck 2 months) and that everything is fine. My friend said maybe the brakes were glazed and that after time they would clear leaving without noise. Well 2 weeks later the brakes hardly squeall but I can feel and slghtly hear a metal on metal from the front left tire area. I'm thinking the bearings mayeb? Any ideas and help are greatly appreciated. My guys here seem to be shooting in the dark but they are so much cheaper ($20 for an oil change and ripping apart the break system to check) than the guys on base. Thanks.

it sounds like the brakes are shot... pull the wheel off yourself and look at it..... my brakes did the same noises when my outter left pad was almost toast and my caliper piston was pushing on the back of the rotor{no or backing plate at all} not good at all costed like $130 to replace pads and get 1 new rotor... my friend owns a machine shop so all the work including maching the rotors and putting in new seals and repacking the bearings and pressing out the old studs and putting them into the new rotor and install/removal of the abs ring was all done for free. at a shop it would have cost like $400-600..
