Anyone out there use an SCT Xcal for an '05 Explorer?

I have an '05 Limited with the 4.6L engine and 3.73 gears. I am looking for that last bit of power (namely torque just becasue the vehicle is so heavy).

I have thought about trying some type of reflash and just wanted to see if anyone out there had any experiences with the '05 computer.

Thanks,

John

Hey neighbor!
PM me, I'm in Stanwood and work in Georgetown (S. Seattle).

Not trying to step on any toes...

Yes he is a site sponsor, and Doug does great work. Doug tuned the Eliminator Chip in my Whipplecharged 1994 3.0L Ranger (See "Boss 3.0" on RPS). He pointed me in the direction of being an SCT Tuner since my project was so overboard, we would have run up the price of a dealership just in postage.

Since jprepotente is in my backyard, I figured I would "hook a brother up".

I'm also doing a local Supercharged Ranger Doug referred to me. He's "cool like that". Doug gets referrals for all my work out his way. :D

Check www.f150online.com In the tuner section, there is a company called troyer performance. Mike Troyer is the owner and can tune the F150 platform better than anyone else, and the 4.6 you have is an F series motor as well. Call him and he will talk in depthly with you, go over everything you ever need to know, and custom tune your truck from VA. I know he's the best, he custom tuned my Navigator that has a supercharged, air to water intercooled 5.4 without ever seeing it.
