sea foam treatment 03 mountaineer

Looking to do a sea foam treatment on my 03 mountaineer 4.6 awd. I have only used it in my gas tank so far. I want to add it to my oil and brake booster line when I do my oil change this week-end. I have read alot on how to do it and the results. I have 148,000 miles, it does run alittle rough. Any negative thoughts here ??

ive never had any negative experience with it, we have used it on both my explorers and many of my friends vehicles and have had nothing but good results. i prefer to put it straight into the throttle body or pcv valve as adding it through the brake booster will clean one side of the engine better than the other

I've also considered it. Low and behold the owner's manual says not to add any additives to the engine (no surprise there), on my current oil I added a bottle of Slick 50. I have a quiet tick that I want to say is vaguely similar to a lifter tick, it's present in any and all running conditions and hasn't changed in the last 10k miles. 4.6L with 122k.

I did it last fall. 100% cured my stumbling idle.


I did it through the brake boost.
