About every few oil changes (ok I missed a bunch) I'd add about 1 Qt of ATF to the oil, then start and idle the X for about 10 minutes.. then change the oil.

I do this as well, but I do it every oil change and let the ATF sit in there for a couple of days (less than 150 - 200 miles) and then do an oil change as normal.
