Yes, I did a search on Seafoam before posting but to be honest, there is not that much information on it. At 115k miles, I am thinking it might be beneficial for cleaning up some of the gunk that is likely deposited in the system. This is on a 3.5L NA. Definitely not ecoboost so please, let's not even worry about bringing that up. This is just a good old stock 3.5 that is running well, but I am looking at general preventative maintenance.

I have heard that it is nothing more than an injector cleaner. I've heard injecting into the carb, putting in the oil, putting in the gas tank. I am about to go on the net to look at reviews, for someone with some good mechanical knowledge, if I can find that (LOL) aside from someone with a new ride thinking it's some wonderful new snake oil. Thanks.

I haven't done a Seafoam treatment on my 3.5NA Ex but I did on my WRX as suggested by my tuner. It did run a lot smoother. I cant say if it would harm or do any good but it definitely did good for the WRX.

I found it more effective using a method recommended by GM. This was to inject a small amount directly into each cylinder through the spark plug hold and let it sit a day. Then you're supposed to crank it with the spark plugs removed to expel any residual liquids, reinstall the plugs, then start and watch the smoke show.

I actually had more issues with EGR ports than anything, but that was on one of the early 90's 4.6L engine.
