Is it true that using seaform can cause your engine to start leaking oil? I have had some people tell me that it works by cleaning the carbon deposits out but by doing so it can move some of the deposits out of the way from places they are covering that would leak if they werent there.

From what I've read on this site, Seafoam is the "be all, end all" and has been called everything from snake oil to the fountain of youth.

Ya never know. Add oil leaks to the long list of what Seafoam can and cannot do. ;)

I have used Sea Foam in many motors in many different vehicles an boats for years and have never had any problems whatsoever,

Further, I have never even heard of it causing problems. like the old wives tale of synthetic oil causing leaks.

Its good stuff....

Will it cause an oil leak? No it won't. Will it make your engine leak oil? Yes if there is already an oil leak. The leak has to already be there before use.
