Found a bargain on front and rear seats to replace the set in our 98 Explorer ... $100 for all. These are cloth and the fronts remind me of Foxbody, having adjustable side bolsters and front extends 👍
They are from a 2005.
Will they mount without mods?

The seat bolt pattern is the main thing to check, the four bolts that mount the seat to the seat track. If those match or you can drill a couple of new holes, then the rest should work if the wiring is not much trouble.

Thank you for your reply. Like the seating quite a bit. I will have to get the 98 measurements and revisit the friend who is offering them.

Just took some measurements off a spare driver side power seat ass'y I removed from a '98 XLT. These measurements are for mtg the seats to the track:
-13 7/8" front to back (ctr to ctr of bolt holes)
-14" side to side (ctr to ctr of bolt holes)

Hope this helps!

Thank you as well.
Update: my friend has informed me these are from a ‘95 Explorer (correct year this time).
Amazing how nice these seats are ... no tears at all. The carpet and factory mats are pristine also.
In closing, I today re-registered ... and the helpful experience is great! Thank you all for the wonderful help.

Excellent, direct fit. Use the better seat tracks as needed.

Were they grey, or what color? I could use another rug set in grey for one of my 98's.

@gktbay

^^^^ This and because of the specific details you wrote in your first/original post, you need to be concerned with the width of the seat cushion of the replacements because of possible interference with your center consul/armrest.

The features that you described in your first post - "adjustable side bolsters and front extends" - sound like - as you wrote - FOX body Mustang GT seats.

If you have your friend take a pic and then you put it on this thread, we'll be able to confirm that they are indeed from a '95 Explorer (as written in your last post).

HTH -

In the tan color ...
I snagged a glove box lamp assembly to boot. Not sure why, my 98XLT did not have one (?) .
