Seatbelt Hardware Question

Will this seatbelt thing from my 94 fit in my Mom's 96? I know the seats will fit. But I want to transfer this part to her X becuase hers is broken and I dont use my X daily.... Are the wiring harnesses the same for the seatbelt sensor that triggers the light on the dashboard? I think they are, but dont want to tear up her interior if it isnt going to fit.

ok.... it worked.... i just swapped them..... ran into 2 problems/differences..... #1 plastic sleave is different, just swapped sleaves...#2 where the bolt attaches the above piece to the seat (metal piece with a hole) the one from my 94 has a bigger hole..... just put littler screw threw bigger hole and tightened everything down....
Everything works great.... the left side swivels more than the right side but is still fully tightened and fully locked into position.... The wiring harnesses were exactly the same.....

so, can anybody get me one of these parts with bolt out of a 91-94 explorer?

My neighbor has a wrecked 91 that I've been pulling parts from. If the part from a 91 will work I can pull those (the seats where still there a couple weeks ago)..

I do know the 91 seats are different from all others, but I think that is just the mounting brackets.. not sure about the seat belt....

I'll be out of town this week end, but if you don't find it by next week.. let me know.. and I'll walk to the neighbors house.. and see if the parts is still there

mark any luck? i also need the bolts where the seat attaches to the floor... i know they may be different there.... but it is bolts... i could probably get them locally if i had to.... but i do need the seatbelt thing.....

He took the seats out and put them in the other '91 (the one that still has a good motor)... I think I saw the old seats sitting in his shed.. I'll bug him this weekend and see if the seat belts are still there..

I do know the 91 seats won't mount anywhere near your 96 (91 is even different than the 92).. but I'll take a look at it.
