anyone know if front seats from 2004 will fit a 2000? both cars are 4 doors.

Also interested in seat swap in a 2000 XLT 4-door. It would be nice to get some with heat built-in and wire it up.

This is a good question and i think someone has done it, next time im at the jubkyard ill look at some seats from them. Either the base or the seat itself could possibly be swaped to the frame.

I think the seats will swap easily to the 92-01 seat tracks, that's just four mounting bolts. The seat heater takes one extra power wire, 20a fuse in the 99-01 factory Limiteds. The ground wire is also large, not a medium 16ish gauge wire. So match the heater wire size to the ground wire you have or add.
