Secret X from tail lights.

Its about the best I could, my camera just is not set up to take pictures in the dark. But anyways, this is with the brake lights on, the explorer in more on a hill so the X pattern would probably show better on flat ground. I was unable to get a good picture, but with just the parking lights on, the X pattern is most definitely noticeable.

So is this X only from the break lights, or is it still there with the tail lights on? Or both?

Ah

The taillights and brakelights are the same light on explorers, just the brakelights are brighter.

Double filimet (sp?) bulbs like the headlights? or voltage change?

I don't know how it works, i know nothing about lighting and electrical, but the light comes from the same bulb...that's all i know.

alright

I kinda hate that, specially with the headlights. What if I want better lights for the brights or something? Blah. Bought the "Brite Box" once only to find the one I bought was for the headlights with the two bulbs.

Get a set of aftermarket driving lights - way less hassle, compared with the potential problems caused by using higher-output bulbs (blowing fuses, melting wiring harnesses, etc).

2001 XLT shows the same X illuminated on the ground, bought truck in December 01 and noticed It that night been showing my friends ever since.

Some crappy cell phone pics, but this is my '00 Eddie.
